The word "nwa m" in Igbo means "my child." The song was inspired by my personal contact with the people of Eastern Nigeria. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time working with Igbo people, which had an impact on this song. This song pictures a mother doing her everyday tasks while cradling her infant on her back.
